Next HOA Community Meeting and Landscaping Survey!

We are excited for the arrival of spring and resuming landscaping improvements, making
Stonefield a beautiful place to call home. Before we dig into the next phase of our landscaping
along Stiles Bee and Putnam, we want to pause and make sure our vision aligns with yours.

Our next Community + HOA meeting will be on Monday May 18, 2026 at 6:30pm.
We will be at the Baxter-Patrick James Island Library in Community Room B.
We expect to discuss community landscaping and the results of the survey mentioned below.
Hope to see you there!

Our primary goal is to create a sustainable, lush environment that thrives without breaking the
bank. Prior to adding mulch to areas devoid of dense grass along those thoroughfares, we
completed walkthroughs with multiple landscaping companies (and arborists) who noted that due
to our unique sunlight patterns and soil composition, traditional grass would require expensive
irrigation, soil amendment, and fertilization. By working with nature rather than against it, we’ve
been able to:
  • Conserve community funds and reduce the need for future fee increases.
  • Protect our waterways by using natural decomposition instead of chemical fertilizers.
  • Support the local ecosystem with native species.
That said, we know that "change" can be a bit messy—especially when weeds (or "wildflowers") pop up before the final vision is complete.

We’ve heard mixed reviews on these changes recently, and we truly value that feedback.
However, to ensure we are representing the entire community fairly, we need your help!

Whether you love the new natural look or have concerns you’d like us to address, your voice is
essential. We’re all in this together, and we can’t wait to hear your ideas for keeping Stonefield
green and vibrant.

Best regards,
Stonefield Community HOA Board
